Learn How To Create Your Navigation Links!

Creating navigation links for your website and/or blog allows your visitors to navigate easily throughout all your pages. Below, I have provided various examples of navigation links.

Using "internal" links let your visitors go from one page on your website or blog to another page within your website or blog. The code would look like this for each of your links:
<a href="http://yoursitename/index.html">Home</a>
<a href="http://yoursitename/hobbies.html">Hobbies</a>
<a href="http://yoursitename/pictures.html">Pictures</a>

Using "external" links let your visitors go to a different website or blog. You must use the full web address "URL". The code will look like this:
<a href="http://www.differentsite.com">"Click Here For Different Site"</a>
The link to the other site looks like this on your web page: "Click Here For Different Site"

If you do not want your visitors to leave your site, use the "target" attribute link. It will make your visitors come back to your page after they have clicked on a link to view a different site. The other site will open up in a different window. The code looks like this:
<a href="http://anothersite.com" target="_blank">Another Site</a>

Using "page jumps" links allow your visitors to go from the bottom of your page back to the top of the same page in one click. Use this link when your page topic is lengthy...your visitors will not have to use the scroll bar to go back to the top of your page.
In your editor, within the <body>..…</body> tags, put both links as follows:
* At the top of your page, "after" the <body> tag, put: <a name="top"></a>
* At the bottom of your page, "after your last text entry and "before" the </body> tag, put: <a href="#top">Back To Top</a>

Using the "mail to" link will allow your visitors to email you. The code looks like this: <a href="mailto:yourself@yoursite.com">Email Me</a>

Create Scrolling Text And Images

Creating scrolling marquees for your website or blog is not as difficult as it may seem. You can learn to use HTML codes and HTML tags to create scrolling marquees for your website or blog as easy as 1-2-3. You can start doing this on your computer using your text editor (notepad) or using your HTML editor. When using a text editor on your computer (notepad for example...not word processing), use the below basic HTML codes/tags to create scrolling marquees. You can then copy and paste them anywhere on your web pages. NOTE: Marquees are basically obsolete and "not" well liked by some browsers!

A Few Marquee Attributes:
*** Defines how text moves: behavior="scroll" or behavior="alternate"
*** Defines direction of movement (default is "left"): direction="left"; direction="right";direction="up"; direction="down"
*** Defines interval between each scroll movement (default is "85"...the higher the value, the slower the text scrolls): scrolldelay="100"
*** Defines background color: bgcolor="#XXXXXX"
*** Defines height and width of marquee box in percentage value or pixels (default is the height of the text): height="80%" or "50px".....width="80%" or "200px"

Simple Example - Marquee Scrolling Right:

Your Text Will Scroll Right

Your HTML Code:

<marquee behavior="scroll" scrollamount="3" direction="right" width="60%"><font size="3" color="#800000" face="arial">Your Text Will Scroll Right</font></marquee>

"Writing Your Website Or Blog Content"

All the great graphics and add-ons in the universe will not replace good usable content and text when writing your website or blog content. Your content and text should immediately engage your visitors by letting them know that you understand their need or problem, and then offering them a valid solution, whether it be the perfect product, service, or information. When writing your content, make sure your text is clear, concise, well structured, and logical. If you rattle on, you will lose your reader. Below, I have provided you with some tips that should aid you while writing your content.

Website And Blog Tips - All Pages

• Site navigation (menu bars, etc.): left-hand side preferred
• Logo (optional): top left-hand corner and linked to your "URL"
• Copyright: centered on bottom of page
(copyright details here)

• Color Scheme: 3 colors (background, text, important facts)
• Font Face: Arial (preferred)
• Font Size: 12pt or less (text) - 14pt or more (titles/headers)

• Font Color: Any color "except" red
• Avoid using all capitals in text

Wait a minute...I forgot to mention "Instant Article Wizard". This is unique software that will virtually write your website or blog content for you. I have viewed it and found it to be an amazing program...quick and easy content within 15 minutes. The cost to purchase this writing software is inexpensive with a 100% money-back guarantee if you are dissatisfied. Stop and think now...your days of worrying about what to write as your website or blog content are "over". Visit Instant Article Wizard to view the "live" demonstration, and see what it can do for you!

You can find more information about writing your website or blog content by clicking here.

What Is Website Or Blog Content?

As a beginner, you are probably wondering..."what is website or blog content"? Important facts to know about website or blog content is that it may include text, images, audio or video files, or anything else that you may want to include on your website or blog. The layout and placing of your content creates a template, which will apply to every page of your website or blog. Basically, whatever you put on your pages is your website or blog content.

So, visitors are not overwhelmed with huge amounts of content all at once...and, so content can be categorized and easily retrieved, website or blog content is divided into pages on your site. Usually each page of the site contains content pertaining to a specific topic. Your website or blog content is important, because that is what will determine whether people will revisit your site or not. Your content should give people a reason to want to come back to your site. "People love freebies"...so, give them some!

If you do not offer enough information or easy navigation to more information on your site, your readers may look elsewhere for information. As a general rule, your homepage should not contain a lot of content, but be more of an introduction with very visible navigation bars and links to more information. To learn more about navigation and links, click here.

Your website or blog content should be organized and structured in a logical fashion, so information on any given "topic" on any page can be quickly located. Keep all related information together on the same page, or organized in a way that additional information on that topic is easily and quickly accessed by a "link". If you're creating a website, you'll need to create a sitemap for the search engines (it makes them happy)! If you need to know how to create a sitemap, visit my web page titled, "Create A Sitemap For Your Website".
